Clancy Ratliff is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Rhetoric at the University of Minnesota. Her research interests include gender and computer-mediated communication, modern rhetorical theory, and intellectual property. She has been a blogger at Kairosnews (http://kairosnews.org/) since March 2002 and soon after started her own weblog, CultureCat (http://culturecat.net/). She recently received a Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship from the Graduate School at the University of Minnesota. She was one of the editors of Into the Blogosphere: Rhetoric, Community, and Culture of Weblogs (http://blog.lib.umn.edu/blogosphere/), and she has written articles for the upcoming Encyclopedia of Third Wave Feminism and the Encyclopedia of Gender and Information Technology. Her research has been featured in numerous news publications, including The St. Paul Pioneer Press, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Chicago Tribune, The Seattle Times, The Guardian, and The Hindu.
