Author Bios

Heather Haberman is a Ph.D. student in the University of Minnesota's Department of Family Social Science. Her current research position with the Minnesota/Texas Adoption Research Project includes management of the collection of on-line data via surveys and synchronous chat. Her personal research interests include on-line research methods, couple on-line dating and mate selection, family use and interaction with communication technologies, and on-line interactive communities.

Brenda Hudson is a Ph.D. student in the University of Minnesota's Department of Rhetoric. In addition, she is a science writer at the University's Academic Health Center, where she focuses on health and science-related topics including Alzheimer's disease and medical education. She has a M.S. in journalism.

Paula Lentz is a Ph.D. candidate in the University of Minnesota's Department of Rhetoric. In addition, she teaches Business Writing, Business Writing II, and Advanced Business Writing full-time at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Her research interests include genre theory, organizational discourse, and technical writing pedagogy.
